Emerging Voices is an intensive eight-month program for writers in the early stages of their literary careers. The Emerging Voices program matches community and constituent needs and is an important part of PEN USA’s outreach programming. It is the only fellowship of its kind in the United States. As a testament to its success, our 92 alumni have produced 132 publications including books, anthologies and journals.
The 2009 Emerging Voices will be reading selected poems, stories and non-fiction on the Salon Stage at 3:45 to 4:30 pm. And while you’re at the fair, please visit PEN USA’s booth on the Field where you can pick up a Freedom to Write T-shirt or button!
The 8th Annual West Hollywood Book Fair will be held on October 4th from 10 am to 6 pm in West Hollywood Park, 647 N. San Vicente Blvd, in West Hollywood. Featuring stages with author panels, special guests and live performances, exhibitors and writing workshops, the West Hollywood Book Fair is one of Southern California’s most eclectic literary events attracting readers and writers of all ages and interests.
