Reflections on the Final Reading

What an amazing celebration we had on Wednesday night!  It was wonderful to see families, friends, and literary lovers out in the crowd.

From EV Fellow Mehnaz Turner’s blog:

“It’s an evening I will always remember–not just because we got to read. But also because we shared a sense of connection with the audience and with each other. I felt the generosity of others was palpable. This is something I realized about writing last night: it’s not just a solitary act, but a communal one.

As the Emerging Voices 2009 comes to a close, we’re excited to continue as MMIX.

So, as it turns out, the Final Reading wasn’t so FINAL.  Cheers to MMIX!
